The Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre (CIRDDOC), in partnership with the Community & Youth Development Initiatives (CYDI), invites qualified and experienced training facilitators to apply for a consultancy opportunity to design and deliver a 2-day training workshop for stakeholders in Imo State. This activity is part of the project titled “Strengthening Capacity and Oversight on the Use of Human Rights Principles in the Prevention of Conflict-Related SGBV,” supported by the Ford Foundation.
🔹 About the Training
The workshop will bring together 35 key stakeholders—including representatives of MDAs, CSOs, women, youths, and community leaders—to build knowledge and skills for preventing conflict-related SGBV, promoting human rights, and strengthening inclusive, community-driven leadership in peacebuilding.
🔹 Objectives of the Training
The training aims to:
✅ Deepen understanding of the root causes, forms, and consequences of SGBV in conflict settings.
✅ Equip participants with practical skills in advocacy, community engagement, and prevention strategies.
✅ Strengthen coordination and collaboration among government agencies, CSOs, and communities.
✅ Foster policy advocacy and leadership for sustainable peace and protection of rights.
🔹 Facilitator’s Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive and engaging training curriculum and materials covering SGBV concepts, human rights frameworks, and advocacy strategies.
- Facilitate interactive and participatory sessions to promote learning and real-life application.
- Identify key advocacy issues and opportunities for preventing conflict-related SGBV in Imo State.
🔹 Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs on SGBV, gender equality, or human rights.
- In-depth understanding of local context, conflict dynamics, and relevant policies in Imo State.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.
