Community & Youth Development Initiatives (CYDI) works with children, adolescents, young people, women, communities, institutions and government stakeholders to promote health, active citizenship, gender equality, peacebuilding and sustainable development through evidence-based interventions, advocacy, education and community engagement.
Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights
CYDI promotes the health, wellbeing and rights of adolescents and young people through education, advocacy, community engagement, referral systems and access to quality information and services.
Governance, Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution
CYDI promotes democratic participation, accountable governance, policy influence, peacebuilding and citizen engagement through advocacy and civic action.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
CYDI supports communities, schools and institutions to adopt safe water, sanitation and hygiene practices that improve health outcomes, prevent disease and promote healthy living.
CYDI's Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals
Through integrated interventions in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Governance, Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution, and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), CYDI contributes directly to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and supports healthier, safer, more inclusive and sustainable communities across Nigeria.
