Inauguration of Imo State HIV Prevention Technical Working Group

On the 25th of May, 2022, Comunity & Youth Development Initiatives (CYDI) joined other state partners at the inauguration of the State HIV Prevention Technical Working Group organised by Imo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (IMO-SACA) at Newton Hotels, Umuguma, where partners working on HIV activities in Imo state we’re inaugurated by the DG of IMO-SACA. Some partners in attendance include CRS, ECEWS, CISHAN, NEPWHAN/ASWHAN, SASPC, JDPC, PHÇDA NHRC and CYDI. some line ministries like Education, Planning, budget and statistics and health we’re also part of the inauguration.

A working document/guide was harmonized, with 8 headings. It was also agreed that the HIV PTWG will meet every third week of the first month of the next quarter and 2/3 of the total number of the group forms a quorum for meeting commencement.
