CYDI to Teach Young Girls Graphics using Mobile Phone to commemorate the 2021 International Day of the Girl Child
Ahead of the 2021 International Day of the Girl Child slated for 11th October 2021 on the theme: “Digital generation. Our generation.” Yesterday 29th September 2021, CYDI engaged the Young Peer Education in Imo State in a planning meeting to discuss activities to commemorate the day.
During the meeting, the young people (Girls) suggested that in line with the Theme of the event, it will be good for them as Girls to learn Graphics design using their mobile phones at the Zonal level, while Schools (Female and Mixed Schools) will go to their Schools to discuss activities they will do in their schools during break period to reach other Girls with relevant information as it relates to the theme.
Recall that the Young Peer Educators are a group of Young secondary students (Girls and Boys), CYDI inaugurated in 2004 to address Reproductive Health issues among their peers in and out of school and today we are happy to announce that the Club is still being sustained and had spread to more than 20 Secondary Schools in Imo State, meeting every Wednesday at CYDI Resources Centre to discuss reproductive health issues.
